It also freezes FactoryTalk Admin Console and ControlFLASH v12 Initially all products may work until PC rebooted. After reboot: Version 20 will hang on Splash screen opening stage Version 21 will hang after New or Open is selected on the project selection screen FactoryTalk Admin Console and ControlFLASH will freeze after selecting Network or Local Important Notes about version 21.00.00: Do not uninstall RSLogix5000 or Studio5000 if frozen. You will not be able to install it again. Use Workaround described below. Do not install or uninstall any Additional Components while installing Studio 5000 version 21.00.00. We duplicated the issue and confirmed that upgrade of the following: - Clock Update Tool from 2.4.2 to 2.5.0 and/or - Task Monitor Tool from 2.4.1 to 3.0.5 will cause this issue. At this point we don't have any other confirmed upgrade limitations, but asking to avoid installing any tools under Additional Components Use version 21.00.01 download that will not install any tools under Additional Components With version 21.00.00 download, leave all boxes unchecked: Most of users recovered by using the Repair Option for Factory Talk Services Platform.
