Use runasdate for :
C:\\Program Files\Rockwell Software\Studio 5000\Launcher\Launcher
and
C:\\Program Files\Rockwell Software\Studio 5000\Logix Designer\ENU\v21\Bin\LogixDesigner
It works for me.
The only problem is that at every start you'll see the expiring period window...click OK and works...
Download Runasdate for win32/64:
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/run_as_date.html
or for win32
http://www.mediafire.com/?laxlyy00u41pxpr
Please share if it works for you... |
I have tried RunAsDate but can not able to block expiry period...
Would you please explain that how you do this? |

there are posts from different users on that subject.
I put these links originally posted by messer but you have only files ..what you need you have to see how to use from forum.. |

Dear duckman or who ever you are
I am happy on your behalf because you can use the search engine optimally. This I have noticed by seeing all your posts with your standard answer when you encourage people to use the search engine instead of asking the others. All members of this forum know some of the features that are available as search function, but you must figure out that it might not be so easy to sum up all the posts. Therefore, I think that people should feel free to ask for help. You do not actually have to react if you do not have a useful input. |

I most agree with duckman though. If people read into the subject of activation, and read all the pages in the stickies, they should understand most well of what needed to be done to activate for educational purposes.
Activation comes down to 3 steps for all AB products.
Hex edit Factory Talk Activation as needed depending on version install.
Insert Features of activation in license file as required.
Hex edit out CRC checks of license in DLL files / exe files as requires. |

kna1512, l write about using the search engine, or the logical, READ all the posts on what you are struggling with, because the same people have to answer the same question again and again. Why if you are struggling with activation's would you not read all the posts and you would be able to get them activated. In the posts there are step by step instructions. The only questions that realistically should be asked would be activating 5000V24, but the answers are out there for that as well.
Even if l wrote a step by step here for you, by the next page someone would be asking how to activate. |

Well, guys, I'm not here to discuss rules with you. Nor will I leave it to the adminstrator. I know from myself that I do not like to ask people for help. but sometimes it is necessary. I know the 3 steps already, but as "psgama" mentioned, it depends on which version it is. ( this make me doubtful).
We are all here to learn from each other but not to make rules. There are some people by nature are very helpful and patient .There are also people who see my post as an "electrical noise". What I wonder about is, duckman's reaction over my post. I do not understand why duckman interfering in the conversation I have with "Carlito" on some files I got from him. I hope that everyone can deceive a positive and good atmosphere in this forum. It was just some observations I had and DO NOT need to reply to it thanks |

| The point is that this constant 'gimme teh codez' BS is just plain lazy and gets really annoying after a while - all the information is already here and doesn't need to be put into yet another post. Seriously, if you can't even work out how to use a simple search function then you probably shouldn't be using a hex editor either. |

badassplc, duckman,
for you as experienced user is very easy and probably is very hard to understand newcomers like kna1512 and me with some questions which seems annoyance. It takes me two month to understand how to....
Please have patience with newcomers because at your turn you have been at the beginning an inexperienced programmers and for newcomers a help is priceless.

My first post was to ask for where l could download Hex editor which Kalkan and Viktar gave me a link, which showed l could find things via the search engine (l was embarrassed that l hadn't done this first, instead of posting a request as my first post). So this made me relise that most people would be able to find what they require by using the search engine. So when l say use Search it is because most of the questions asked can be answered by using the search engine. Then questions on say "Activation's" would be about helping people with why they are having problems and not starting at the first step. I am more than willing to help, when people have installed the software and are having trouble say activating the software, as you can see in posts l have assisted people that have at lest started to understand the process of activation.
kna1512- l see you got it activated, good, wasn't so hard was it?. I would stick with FTView 6.1(as it is easy to license, unless you have later projects) and move to the latest RSLogix5000 V20.03-04 (or studio21) not just V20.01 as it has issues.
carlito- I think you are to modest about your skills. Your patience with posting links for people who won't search is commendably, but l have seen were you are getting slightly annoyed yourself, about people not using the Search first.
badassplc- +1, you hit it on the head
Also people, this software is for training purposes and not for commercial use. Buy a license for commercial use. |

Duckman
I prefer this post rather than your previous post. I'm not comfortable with asking people or use illegal licenses. I am a mechanical engineer and have had a few courses on automation during my university. So I have good control of my professional skills in mechanics but I can not say that I have so much control over programming as a programmer. Therefore I will improve myself in this field also, in spite of all the criticism I meet in this forum. Dear Duckman, the fact is that I have just bought a used ControlLogix PLC (1756-L61) from a friend at an inexpensive price. after running studio 5000 v21 found that the equipment is not compatible with this version.
I then found out that I have to either settle for v16- 20 and associated RSLinx and FTView. I hope that Allen Brandley will forgive me for all the illegal activities I do in this forum
I can certainly understand that some posts can be annoying, and I hope that you can find ways to ignore them. |
