Improvements and changes in SIMOCODE ES V16 Update 3
Problems with the IUM V2 current/voltage acquisition modules when upgrading a V15.1 Update 3 project to V16 Update 1 have been corrected.
Problems with parameter deviations in the parameter editor after upgrading from an older version to V16 Update 2 have been corrected.
In the CFC charts, the default parameters are now set correctly in the PROFINET parameter block.
In the CFC charts, it is now possible to store a comment in the identification block in the Inspector window.
In the CFC charts, the parameters "Installation date" in the identification block and "IP address" in the PROFINET parameter block can now be changed.
The "Hide unused plugs" button in the CFC charts now works as expected and hides the unconnected contacts.
If the installation date has been changed; it is now saved correctly in the project.
The firmware version and the hardware version are now correctly displayed in the commissioning diagnostics.
The operation of the motor control in the commissioning editor has been improved.
After uploading a SIMOCODE pro S project with a temperature module,
all parameters are now correctly applied.

TIA Portal V16/17 facilitates the commissioning of similar drives by copying an existing configuration from one drive object to other drive objects. Parameter values can be written offline or online.
In applications such as logistics systems or in the automobile industry, oftentimes more than 100 drives are controlled by one PLC. In materials handling applications, for instance, drive settings are often standardized for various conveyor elements. In such cases, the configurations are the same, or they differ only with respect to parameters that are not performance-related.

When commissioning such a system it is repeatedly the case that settings parameters have to be adjusted in order to achieve the desired drive characteristics. These changes then have to be carried out for a great number of drives (10 to 50). Although these are simple changes, they take considerable time.
