You cannot have installed on the same computer WinCCV7.0 and WinCC V11. I think so there are. Hello Targor, I understand you are a beginner and that's very nice, I encourage you to continue.... Try to learn SIEMENS because it's very interesting and could be very useful for your carrier. For being more precise at that point you have three choices: 1. To Install Step7 V5.5 and WinCC V7.0 with all updates and ... you have a complete system for developing PLCs programs and the associated HMI screens for all SIEMENS PLCs. The advantage of this system is it is stable, is verified and SIEMENS considers that softwares as mature products. 2. To Install PCS7 V7.1 SP3 (find in this forum), this installation will conține Step7 V5.5, WinCC and the entire support for DCS (Distributed Control System);Also this product is considered as mature and you can develope all the programs you need. 3. To Install StepV11 and WinCCV11 which is the new integrated system from SIEMENS (PLCs +HMIs in the same IDE), but it is indicated not to use this software for new real developments. For this clipă this system is very useful for learning, but in one or two year will be a mature product and must be learned from now on...OK?). The big problem is that you must make an option because the variant 3. is not compatible with the first and the second choice, meaning you can't have both complete systems in the same computer. What is important to know is that ....if you learning very well Step7 V5.5 and WinCC V7.0 it will be easier to learn the new version Step7 v11. Regarding the keys, read very well the instructions of EKB and follow the Required Keys that will give you clues about that. The Keys are different for Step7 V5.5 and Step7 V11 but again...read carefully the ELB help files. Use also the ALM (Automation License Manager) to find out what keys are required. It is strongly indicated to have two partition on your HardDisk: C and D. Install all the required Keys in D:\ once and then if you completely erase your system and reinstall the OS you'll not have problem again with reinstalling the Keys. It's up to you what choice you need to install taking into account all the considerations above...and what do you want to do next... If you have misunderstandings put that on desk.... But the Basic version has a lot of drawbacks.... I strongly advice you to use the latest version meaning Step7 Professional SP2 with latest updates...see in this forum... I also warn you that this is not a mature product and is not indicated to use yet on the new projects but it's excellent for learning because SIEMENS dead lock for this product to become mature is very short. So my advice is to download SIMATIC Step7 Professional V11 SP2. The password is correct but if this password is not working for you please try to use switch to the English Language otherwise it could appear errors... The earlier versions of Step7 v11 are not compatible with Win7 and Win7-SP1, 64bits. Regarding the links for SP2.. ...you just have them on the above links where you have the last update, Update4. So be "cool" and wait for the SP3 release .... The Keys are different for Step7 V5.5 and Step7 V11 but again...read carefully the ELB help files. Use also the ALM (Automation License Manager) to find out what keys are required. It is strongly indicated to have two partition on your HardDisk: C and D. Install all the required Keys in D:\ once and then if you completely erase your system and reinstall the OS you'll not have problem again with reinstalling the Keys. It's up to you what choice you need to install taking into account all the considerations above...and what do you want to do next... If you have misunderstandings put that on desk....
