Absolutely..
You have to install Simatic Net otherwise you cannot communicate...and of course has nothing to do with wincc version is not the same..
Install first Step7 v5.6 for example and then Simatic Net V15.1and then Wincc 7.4
Read what Simatic net is compatible with Wincc 7.4...

| I've installed Wincc V7.4 SP1 so I tried installing Simatic Net V14 keys from EKB, but still the Automation license Manager shows Simatic net keys as missing, I suspect that I maybe didn't install Simatic net in the first place. What to do to get Simatic net installed and working? |

Dear People. I need an Upgrade WinCC Runtime license, named A9PRCX60 or A9PRTX60 files, where the X is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, A, B, D or E, but I canīt find it in any of the Simatic_EKB_Install programs.
Itīs for a SCADA made in WinCC 5.1. In the Authorinformation.INF file shows thats license is missing.
Iīve created a Yellow disk from WinCC_v51_Yellow_Disk_RT.IMA that two users sent me, but when I use AuthorsW to manage the keys, I canīt find the keys. Only one time the Yellow disk was created properly buy only the key holder was in the disk. No keys available (Count = 0). Do you have more information? Is it possible to use a virtual 3,5" floppy disk? Thanks in advance and best wishes. |

Do not need upgrade install license for winncc 5.1
Just Run EKB_Yellow_Disk.exe Create Simatic Yellow Disk from image file WinImage *.IMA, FloppyImage *.IMG, FDA *.BIN Auto detect and format licensed track or format 71, 72, 78, 79 tracks
Then run SiemensEng.exe Siemens.exe for install keys
Install from WinCC_v51_Yellow_Disk_RT only

The key container already exists, but you are attempting to fÄcute it. If a previous attempt to open the key failed with NTE_BAD_KEYSET, it implies that access to the key container is denied.

Use a Registry Cleaner tool and then try again.
Use Properties of AX NF ZZ folder and give access for you as user. |
