Hi Guys,

Need your expertise... I had install RSLOGIX 500 V9, my machine Win 7, 64 bit. Factory Talk Activation 3.40 and having problem with the activation ...

As per the suggestion, I use Serial#--1014123456
Followed by edit Edit the RSWl032.dll, address FC330-- 09 0A change 34 02 to 30 90 and save.
Then I edit the ” ftasystem.lic" from folder (Window 7).... user/public/public documents/Rockwell automation/activation adding the string:

FEATURE RS500P.EXE flexsvr 1.00 permanent 10 VENDOR_STRING=9999999 \
HOSTID=ANY vendor_info="PRODUCT_NAME:RSLogix 500 Pro (English)" SN=0000000001 \
SIGN="0034 5678 90AB CDEF 1122 3344 5566 7700 FFFF FFFF FFFF \
FFFF FFFF FFFF FFFF"

But when I start the software it says that "this products has not been successfully activated" and its operating in grace period....

Any suggestion to solve the issue.

You also need to patch FTA. Search the forum, all the information you need is already there.

Hi,

Please follow my instruction below.....

I have mangaged to activate with the help of the following members :- rsgama and eastwood.bs. combination of both members feedbacks and responses. It was very successful activation.

Here is what I have done :-

Step 1
-- SERIAL#-- 1014
(#4 denotes Pro version, #2 natural version) then any 6 #’s
Serial#--1014123456

Step 2--Hex Edit RSWl032.dll, found at C:/program files (x86)/Rockwell software/RSlogix 500 english.

At address FC330-- 09 0A change 34 02 to 30 90 and save.

Step 3-- Hex Edit flexsvr.exe, found at C:/Program files(x86)/Rockwell software/FactoryTalk Activation. Use Hex Editor and open in "Administrator"mode.

Search Address D150
Change From : 55 8B EC 83 E4 F8 81 EC
To : 33 C0 40 89 45 FC 48 C3

and save file.

Step 3-Copy and Paste below string to” ftasystem” license folder, found at (windows 7) ....user/public/public documents/Rockwell automation/activation.

hi there!
the activation runs perfect, I you have problems try to search de license file, because in my installation it was installed in two differents folders, you can open factory talk activation and you can see the correct path for the lic.

Hi All,
I've installed without issue and have been able to edit the RSWI032.dll and the ftasystem.lic files but am having problems with the FTA file (flexsvr.exe). I opened up HexEdit as Administrator with both Windows 7 compatibility and without (I'm running Windows 8.1). I then open the flexsvr.exe file from within HexEdit but it tells me that it's a read-only file. I've adjusted my permissions and have granted permission the SYSTEM and USER accounts, as I did this with the RSWI1032.dll file. Even after opening up my permissions, HexEdit continues to show it as a read-only file. I'm wondering if I'm missing anything?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I m abit comfused. whats the software for micrologix 1100 ,is it rs500? and why when i download it i can't activate it?can someone help me?i stack on the 3 step of the activation ,i can't find the ftasystem.lic file. on the activation folder there is any file like that.

I installed this on my laptop just fine, but I had trouble on my desktop.

The problem was I couldn't find the "C:\Users\Public\Documents\Rockwell Automation\Activations" directory.

The reason for this is because I DIDN'T INSTALL "FactoryTalk Activation Manager" so there was no directory yet.

I hope this helps someone.

Alright I give up, I'm asking for a hand.

Having no luck getting this activated. Uninstalled and started over still no luck.
Some oddities:
I was unable to edit flexsvr.exe unless I booted up in safe mode, otherwise it was already being run.
After editing and going to save it gave me a warning about security or signatures not matching backups, I can't recall exactly now.
Also running win 7 in boot camp, not sure if that matters

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
