thehumi you have been so helpful I wish I did not have to keep coming back with new issues. In running the A-B A.I Ver 6.25 software on a Windows 95 PC I am getting an error message when trying to open a newly created program file with the OffLine option. Wanted to check to see if you have any thoughts on how to address the error. I played a little with the config.sys and Autoexec.bat files but have not had any luck so far.
Error Report
Error: CreatePortal returned an error code of -2. Description: An attempt to allocate additional memory was unsuccessful. Severity: The current operation can not be completed. |

Hi Sparks,
Unfortunately, I have not encountered this error before. Is the PC you're using an actual Win95 computer, or is it a Virtual Machine? Typically 'memory' would refer to the system's RAM,. 'disk space' would refer to hard drive space. If it is a virtual machine, try to increase the amount of RAM. I am not currently in the office, but I will edit this post and let you know what my Virtual Machine is currently setup with.
I have successfully opened projects both in the offline programming mode and online with a working PLC-2 system. I use a Win7 machine running a WinXP Virtual Machine.
On the other hand... I have not been successful with the 6200-PLC2 software. It runs on Win98 Virtual Machine, but it lags quite a bit and randomly crashes. I too have made changes to the config.sys windows file, but no change.

The WinXP virtual machine I use is set up using VMWare's virtual machine with the following hardware:
1 CPU Processor core
1GB RAM
100GB Harddrive |
