A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

A good scientist has autentic ideas. A good engineer makes a design that works with as few original ideas as possible.

Our life has become so mechanized and electronified that one needs some kind of an elixir to make it bearable at all. And what is this elixir if not humor?

To err is human, but to really foul things up requires a computer.

The problem with troubleshooting is that trouble shoots back.

A computer lets you make more mistakes faster than any invention in human history – with the possible exceptions of handguns and tequila.

If builders built buildings the way programmers wrote programs, then the first woodpecker that came along would destroy civilization.

The real danger is not that computers will begin to think like men, but that men will begin to think like computers.

There are 10 types of people in this world: those who understand binary and those who don’t.

D-le Mojo.
Legatura este extrem de simpla:
De cand cei de la VolksWagen au instalat softwareul lor care arata emisiuni de gaze toxice aproape de zero la masinile lor,
Vaca a devenit cel mai mare agent de poluare al planetei

For all non Romanian users:
I've asked chiorean to give me a reasonable link between a car, a cow and automation humor of the forum...because this picture have nonsense here...

The answer was a stupefaction for me but extremely good...

Since VOLKSWAGEN have been installed the Software BUG on their car automation software for cheating toxic gas emissions.....
The COWS became the most dangerous pollutant agent on the planet ...due to their gases...

Taking into account the excellent joke made by one of our colleague regarding VW Scandal please read more:
VW Scandal: When Good Engineers Do the Wrong Thing

The Volkswagen emissions scandal highlights a dilemma in the engineering workplace.
Should an employee, in this case a software engineer, follow orders from higher-ups even when the employee knows the order to be unethical or even illegal?

The question was faced by engineers at Volkswagen when their managers approved a plan to alter how the company’s diesel engines performed during tests to determine emission levels.

PostPosted: 31/12/2017 19:20    Post subject: definition of globalization Reply with quote

HERE'S A LESSON FOR YOU-BET YOU NEVER KNEW THIS !

A definition of globalization that I can understand and to which I now can relate:

Question:
What is the truest definition of Globalization?

Answer:
Princess Diana's death.
Automation humor....... The 100 greatest American films
Question:
How come?

Answer :

An English princess with an Egyptian boyfriend

crashes in a French tunnel, riding in a

German car

with a Dutch engine,

driven by a Belgian

who was drunk

on Scottish whisky,

(check the bottle before you change the spelling),

followed closely by

Italian Paparazzi,

on Japanese motorcycles,

treated by an American doctor, using

Brazilian medicines.

This is sent to you by

an Indian,

using

American Bill Gates' technology,

and
you're probably reading this on your computer,

that uses Taiwanese chips,
and

a

Korean monitor,

assembled by

Bangladeshi workers

in a Singapore plant,

transported by Pakistani truck drivers,

hijacked by Indonesians,

unloaded by Sicilian longshoremen,

and trucked to you by Mexican illegals......

That, my friends, is Globalization !

Happy new year 2018!
