Since i wasn't able to find a suitable place for this thread i open it here. If this is not the right place i'm asking the admin to move it.

Basically i started a new project in which i need to build 3 electrical panels each one with a PLC inside. Two of the electrical panels are designed to start-up some pumps and the third to monitor the level inside a buffer tank. The main problem is that i have no direct sight between the pumping station which is filling the buffer tank and the buffer tank so wireless link is out of question. I started to look around after some old school VHF/UHF radio modems and i was able to find few models but i have no experience at all with these types of radio modems. All of them are able to provide serial (both RS232 and RS485) links over the air but they are not so cheap and i have no intention to invest money blindly.

Anyone which is able to give me some feedback on this problem??
