Hi guys,
First of all - If I am missing the subforum - sincere apologies.
(mods feel free to move it to more suitable place.)
Here are some basic questions and any pointers are welcome.
1. system description
Serveral 4-20mA output sensors connected to WIPA Plc
WIPA Plc - connected to HMI SCADA PC via ethernet.
SCADA HMI is presenting the values and trends them. It also have audit trail feature. (recording all logged user actions)
2. Questions
a. It's not siemens PCS or wonderware or simmilar. No historian. It uses somekind of SQL base.
Not sure how the pc side sw is made - and I want to make new (better) one - how can I reverse communication between WIPA <> Scada ???
b. uhh no b so far.. If someone chime in with some additional info needed I am convinced that I can provide info - but can think about any atm.
So... Any pointers welcome
Kind regards

Do u mean that "WIPA" -> "VIPA PLC" ?
VIPA PLC via OPC (Hint Document)
---------------------

For generally reverse engineering step
1. Need Communication Protocol (OPC, Modbus, Fieldbus and so on) Specification Document and Tools (SDK : Software Development Kits or API : Application Program Interface) Between PLC <-> SCADA
or Packet Analyze (difficulty stuff )
2. Development Communication Driver (PLC <-> SCADA)
3. Test Communication Driver and Apply.
Refer Site (only FYI )
