Hello everybody.
I have a redundancy system and master server increase a memory use on PdlRT.exe.
Example :
Server Master : 486MB
Server Slave : 72MB.

What could be the problem?

Is there a diagnostic tool to detect the problem?

Thanks.

This is a long unsolved problem by Siemens with every version.......even with 7.3 see...
https://support.industry.siemens.com/tf/us/en/posts/pdlrt-exe-memory-usage-then-crash/138582/
After updates ..solved the problem....
What can be done?
Try to insert the GSC Runtime Window into a Picture Using "Smart Objects" -> "Application Window" in the picture to check if have problems with some scripts or something else....
Select the "Global Script" option from the "Window Contents" dialog and confirm the selection with "OK".
Select the "GSC Runtime" option from the "Templates" dialog and confirm the selection with OK for inserting the Diagnostics window.
Check in Runtime and see if you can find the cause of the problem...
This problem appears between time???..or is an old problem???
I've had a similar problem long time ago with wincc 7.0 sp1 ...Checking the integrity of the file system I found a file corrupt.. I reinstalled all from the ground and have not problem afterwards..
The system is pretty old...updates not available.
In Task Manager this process what do you see???

Hi kontrol,
thanks for your suggestion.
I try to check if present some error in script.
Anyway i found in this project open connection to database on start-up and close on shutdown, and does not open closing for each time you use a script to the database.
Could be this a problem?

This could be a problem...
Try to adapt the program in a manner to treat all exceptions with a flag which not allowing the program to enter in an indefinite loop for getting out correctly from program, otherwise there are problems.
Most mistakes in these cases on WinCC was made by not correctly throwing the exceptions in the program.
That leads to "eating" of memory and finally the program is blocked by indefinite loops.
