Working with the TIA Portal Cloud Connector
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109747305/
The TIA Portal Cloud Connector enables central management of your engineering software on a server. From an engineering workstation, you can work with TIA Portal (which is installed on a server) via a remote desktop connection. For this, the TIA Portal Cloud Connector serves as communication tunnel.

In this application example, TIA Portal is installed in a virtual environment on a server. TIA Portal is not installed on the engineering workstation (PG/PC). The hardware for the automation systems is directly connected with the PG/PC. Via a remote desktop connection from your PG/PC to the virtual environment, you can work with TIA Portal as usual. TIA Portal Cloud Connector can be used to ensure access to the local PROFINET or PROFIBUS interface of the PG/PC of your engineering workstation and to the connected SIMATIC hardware from the virtual environment.

The application example describes the following aspects:
Configuring a remote desktop connection
Centrally storing user and project settings
Configuring TIA Portal Cloud Connector on the PG/PC
Configuring TIA Portal Cloud Connector in the virtual environment
Establishing an online connection via TIA Portal Cloud Connector

What are the conditions for using the TIA Portal Cloud Connector?
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109739390/

The TIA Portal Cloud Connector enables you to access local PC interfaces and SIMATIC hardware connected to it in TIA Portal Engineering while Engineering is being run in a private cloud via Remote Desktop.

In order to be able to use this function to the full you need the TIA Portal Cloud Connector that has to be installed in both the private cloud and on the local PG/PC to which the PLC/HMI is connected.

TIA Portal Cloud Connector V1.1 SP4
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109780755/
TIA Portal Cloud Connector V1.1 SP4 allows access to programmable controllers from the local Ethernet interface. The SP4 is optimized for the connection setup with SCALANCE M-800/S615 (from V6.3 and higher).
TIA Portal Cloud Connector V1.1 SP4 is a further development of the Version V1.1 SP3 Update1 and is optimized for use with SCALANCE M-800/S615 (from V6.3 and higher).
After installing the TIA Portal Cloud Connector V1.1 SP4 in the TIA Portal Engineering System as of V14 SP1, access to the programmable controllers can occur after activation of the end point already integrated in the TIA Portal Cloud Connector in the SCALANCE M-800/S615 (from V6.3 and higher).
