What is your controller? SLC500? Logix5000?
Connect to the PLC and once online Upload from PLC to PC. Once you have the program uploaded to the PC save it and make any necessary changes to fit the configuration of the PLC and 1394 system then Download to the new PLC and run.

What is your systems configuration? You should have a 1394-SJTxx (power supply and axis controller/IMC), 1394-AMxx ( servo drive(s).
Are you connecting to the IMC via serial or SERCOS?
What program are you using to connect to the IMC?

I have not forgotten about you but I did get a bit too busy at work.
I hope to have some time tomorrow or early next week to connect to the 1394 system and see if I can help you.

I just looked at the 1394 system I have and unfortunately it is the Series C and it uses the IMC with SERCOS interface and no Serial interface.
I will look at the GML Commander program to see what's different between the Serial interface system and SERCOS interface system.
On the 1394 Series C with SERCOS interface I remember using AB SoftLogix software and a SERCOS card in the PC to control and run the system.

In GML commander software there is only RS232 interface. I think you have to connect to controller with this interface. It's not different between B series and C .
my controller is B series
