Description of Control and Instrument Support Engineer
The Facilities Practice within Petroleum People has recently been retained by a highly respected upstream business with interests across the globe to source the services of a Control and Instrument Engineer.

Technically strong in all areas of operational controls and instrumentation engineering, you will be required to bring your extensive experience and apply it efficiently to develop and then maintain a high standard of operability.

This position will be a permanent role within a specialist engineering department providing support for the company’s offshore installations.

Candidates must possess a strong degree in electrical/control system engineering, preferably working towards chartered status and be able to demonstrate extensive knowledge and up to date experience of oil and gas upstream industry projects.

Skills required for Control and Instrument Support Engineer Degree in engineering discipline preferably working towards chartered status.
Knowledge and competencies in:
- ESD, F&G, SCADA/DCS/PLC systems, industrial networks and communications.
- Functional Safety, SIL, HIPPS
- Field Instrumentation (Pressure, Level, Temperature, Flow, Control Valves)
