| Hello everyone, I was wondering if you could help me with something i'm trying to do...in WinCC(Tia Portal V13) i have some output fields that display real numbers..what i'm trying to do is make them numbers appear with separators e.g 100.000 instead of 100000. I'm not talking about decimals but about thousand separators...i did a lot of research and the only thing i found was the use of analog display(external) which is a wincc 7.3 feature only....Do you have any idea of how could i make this happen? Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thank you very much in advance! |

It's a litlle bit longer but I used this trick and it works
Look what you have to do:
1. Make a Function in PLC and calculate Units, Thousands, Millions....
You have tags : RUnits =Tag
RThousands=TagUnits/1000
RMillions= TagUnits/1000000
and so on...
2. Apply this FC to every real Tag and in fact obtained decomposed Tags on RUnits, RThousans, RMillions ..tags
3. In HMI put I/O fields three digits one after another every I/O Field separated by a Comma or Dot in such a manner you have Units, Thousands, Millionsof .
4. Make the links on HMI to RUnits, RThousans, RMillions for every Real Tags decomposed...
5. Group this and you have a I/O field as you want and can use many times..
The only problem is you have to use 3 or 4 supplementary tags for every Real Value Tag.

| First of all thank you very much for taking the time to help me out, what you suggested is a very clever solution and it will work but in my case i have 100+ real numbers to modify so this means that i'll have to use 400+ tags...i was wondering if there was a more economical way to do it tag-wise... |
