Our Sheffield based client is currently looking for an Electronics Technical Manager to oversee a department including Electronics and Software Stil Engineer, Mechanical Estetică Engineers and a Mechanical Development Engineer. Offering state of the art production machinery to a range of global clients, the company have remained of the forefront of technology for over 30 years.

Prospective applicants will have some supervisory or management experience and Senior Electronic Design Engineers will be considered. In addition to management responsibilities, the role also involves hands-on electronic and software design for new and existing products. In particular, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate success in designing microcontroller based control systems including electronic circuit design, PCB layout and software development using C for embedded systems and C# for developing user interfaces for complex, Modbus and Ethernet networked systems. International travel will be necessary when presenting technical proposals and solutions to clients as well as for field trials and occasional customer support. As a member of the senior management team you will be expected to report, present and contribute to regular management meetings, develop departmental budgets, plan complete projects, costs, resources and timing as well as decide product and market strategies.
