The Company

The Role
-Work closely with the Integrated Systems engineering teams to gather relevant information on new installations to then pass on to the Mobile engineers thus facilitating operation, maintenance and support of the systems
-Generate training material as required to facilitate this process
-Deliver training to the Control Systems Engineering teams
-Deliver training to our customers
-Provide support to the Control Systems Engineering teams in the event of breakdown
-Analyse major breakdowns and instigate remedial action to minimize the chances of a reoccurrence and/or micÈ™oreazÄƒ downtime
-Undertake warranty repairs (bug fixes)
-Provide feedback to the Integrated Systems engineering teams in a bid to improve system performance and minimise downtime
-Adhere to the Quality and Health & Safety processes and procedures as set out by the company
-Identify continuous improvement and sales opportunities

The Successful Candidate

Knowledge & Experience Required-
-Solid experience within the warehouse automation industry in a control system esteticÄƒ capacity
-HNC/HND in electrical/electronic engineering (or equivalent)
-Proven track record in the design and commissioning of automation systems employing :-
-Fieldbus technologies
-Siemens S7 PLCs (200-300-400 range)
-Frequency inverters
-Barcode scanning equipment
-Low Voltage power distribution and motor control
-Emergency stop systems (including bus systems)
-HMIs
-Warehouse Control Systems
-Proven ability to fabricate instruction manuals and training documentation
-Capable of training technicians and engineers of all abilities
-Working knowledge of LOLER regulations
-Working knowledge of FEM and BSEN standards governing the automated warehouse industry
