Keys Skills - JAVA J2EE Spring Hibernate MQ WebSphere Message Broker

My large, global client is seeking a Technical Architect to come on board in a permanent role. The TA will be required to demonstrate a strong understanding of JEE (and in some cases do hands on complex development to prove viability and principles) together with open source frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate. Also needs to have architectural competence of WAS v6.1/8 with preferable inclusion of MQ7/Broker7.

Technical Architect - Roles & Responsibilities

* To investigate and recommend an architecture for any given integration project (within agreed architecture principles).
* Provide advice and guidance on technical matters to own team members and all other teams involved in integration solutions
* Promote integration best practice throughout the organisation
* Maintain integration standards and patterns
* Work with architect leadership and infrastructure specialists to maintain and evolve reference architecture
* Propose and run Proof of Concept activities where needed
* Assist with performance testing where needed
* Support and contribute to development and delivery
* Provide mentoring and support to development teams onsite and offshore

Integration Technical Architect - Skills Required

* Excellent communication and team working skills.
* Preferably of graduate calibre with proven experience in the field of High Volume Transactional Systems and Systems Integration
* Thorough knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and concepts
* Capability to select solutions not limited to a single technical skill set
* Good knowledge of Object Oriented software construction, preferably using Java / JEE and Spring framework
* Good experience of WebSphere MQ, and JMS.
* Good experience of use of an ESB or ESB type technology such as Websphere Message Broker, Mule, or Service Conduit.
