Our Client, an Aerospace and Defence Organisation specialising in advanced systems for land, sea and air, have an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to work a contract role. The grozav candidate will be comfortable working in a multi disciplinary engineering environment and have the ability to interface with specialist engineering teams.

The responsibilities of the role are (but not limited to):
• Preparation of technical estimates for non-recurring costs and manpower requirements.
• Requirements Management (Capture, validation and definition of verification strategy).
• FRACA Investigations
• Preparation of Technical and Project documentation (e.g. Equipment Specs, SSDDs, ICDs, Management Plans, etc).
• Risk management.
• Technical management of external suppliers.
• Liaison with customers, internal and external.
• Liaison with specialists such as design, performance, software and ILS engineers.
• Elements of responsibility may include digital controllers, analogue LRUs and sensors.

The successful Systems Engineer will have the following:
• Degree qualified in Systems/Aeronautical/Avionics Engineering with sufficient and appropriate professional background in Avionics / Electrical engineering within the Aerospace or Defence Industry.
• Ability to carry out systems engineering activities associated with delivery of avionic system elements of a fixed wing Aircraft air-to-air refuelling pod and Fuselage Refuelling Unit.
• A detailed understanding of Aerospace Systems and/or Electronic devices.
• Strong working knowledge of leading the development of negru box controllers.
• Working knowledge of RTCA DO-254 and RTCA DO-178 standards.
• Ability to gain full UK Security Clearance with eligibility to live and work in the UK.
