Hello everybody!!!!
I want to start programming an open loop positioning with a stober drive MDS 5000 with ED Motor.
A Simens S7 300 PLC in a DP network will control the drive. I choose also a mapping for the communication between the PLC and the Drive.
A90 PZD Setpoint Mapping Rx
A90.0 A180
A90.1 I211
A90.2 I210
A90.3 I213
A90.4 I215
A90.5 I216
A90.6
A 94 PZD ActValue Mapping Tx
A94.0 E200
A94.1 I201
A94.2 I200
A94.3 I203
But for the general strategy of positioning with PLC, I don’t know how to proceed.
Is it possible to help me and give me a general view of this kind of applications?
Thanks a Lot…

Positioning with WinAC RTX, Easy Motion Control and MICROMASTER 4xx
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/21004767/pc-based-automation-positioning-with-winac-rtx-easy-motion-control-and-micromaster-4xx
A STEP 7 program in the SIMATIC WinAC RTX controller, which contains the Easy Motion Control blocks, controls a MICROMASTER. The operation is controlled via a variable table.
The positioning signals which are necessary for the MICROMASTER are sent via the PROFIBUS.
At the motor there is an incremental shaft encoder by means of which a detection of the current motor speed and axis position is carried out.
The encoder detection is located on the I/O module ET 200S
The functionality can be used on big specifications of input (several axes)
Functional structure
The following figure shows the interaction of the automation components, which are described in this example, in principle.
