Good afternoon! The problem arose from the ground up to configure the drive Sinamics s120. Installed Control Unit CU320-2DP + with the card (firmware 4.3.2) + Smart Line Module + Single Motor Module. Zakonnektili through Drive-Qlick. Filed postoyanku 24V loop 3 module. Force applied. Inserted BOP20 control panel.
Finally we got:
- The BOP20 control panel displays nothing - blank screen;
- On the Control Unit CU320-2DP block RDY COM blinking red light 0.5 Hz;
- On the other blocks are red RDY.
Lord, if any thoughts on the case? Thank you. |

Do you have the project or try an initial commissioning with no project?
First of all.. can you boot correctly?
Try to boot:
while booting COM LED = OFF and RDY LED=ORANGE
After reboot if COM LED is flashing 0.5Hz then check MMC and FW version or if not corrupt.
Remedy: Change MMC with the proper firmware
Behavior of the LEDs in the operating state
If COM LED is flashing 0.5Hz you have problem with PROFIBUS ..cables, CU Address....
Remedy:Verify PROFIBUS Connection, address.....
CHECK PROFIBUS PINOUT
Check this manuals
Getting started

Off the record:
If BOP is dead check if your Sinamics is defective?????
But probably is better to explain step by step
What happens with LEDs exactly on booting?
Is boot process terminated correctly? |

By the way..when you are booting CU230-2DP try to disconnect PROFIBUS cable from PG.
The firmware must be v4.3 or higher.
If this step goes well then pass to the next step otherwise will not working anything. |

look
if you have not a ready project try to use only for check initial functioning

1 This initial commissioning still without project
2. Sorry! On the Control Unit CU320-2DP block RDY COM blinking red light 2 Hz - From the very first moment of switching on the drive. After the first inclusion have checked the card via the card reader. There was on the card only a text file with a litsenzioony key more than nothing..! The card is new.
3.Process of loading wasn't. All blocks new.BOP-20 perhaps has to be activated only after successful loading FIRMWARE from the CFC.
4.I tried to connect through LAN, PROFIBUS and RS232. No effect.
5.FW 4.3.2 i not finded. |

Dear drendgrave,
look how you have to proceed:
Preconditions:
Any hardware release of the CU320-2DP with order number 6SL3040-1MA00-0AA0 can be upgraded to device version V4.6 /V4.7.
The CU320-2 PN with order number 6SL3040-1MA01-0AA0 is supported by firmware version V4.4 and higher.
Firmware versions of V4.3.x or higher can only be installed on 1GB or 2GB1 CompactFlash cards
If you do not have this then STOP but if yes proceed as follows:
-Reader for CompactFlash cards connected to a PC/PG
-PC/PG with STARTER Version >= 4.3.x incl. appropriate SSP for new firmware version
-Communication interface to the Control Unit (see manuals)
So
1. SWITCH OFF THE ELECTRONIC POWER SUPPLY
Disconnect the power supply from the Control Unit (including the 24 V DC supply)
2. Extract de CF CARD from CU230-DP and INSERT THE CF CARD IN THE READER FOR THE PC / PG
3. Back it up (copy) using the Windows Explorer on the PC/PG on a Folder.
Remember: This folder contains license keys for software options under license and do not delete by mistake.
4. Then ...Delete all files and folders from the CompactFlash card using Windows Explorer on the PC.
5. Extract the new firmware from the zip file using an unzip application, e.g. WINZIP, WINRAR (here you can uise V4.4 which can be downloaded from forum..to any temporary directory of your choice on the PC/PG.
6. COPY NEW FIRMWARE (ALL FOLDERS) TO THE CF CARD
Use Windows Explorer to move the contents of the temporary directory to the CompactFlash card
(The appropriate SSP for the firmware is stored in subdirectory ADDON\SINAMICS\ES_TOOL\SSP in the zip file containing the new firmware)
7. Use Windows Explorer to move the KEYS folder from the anterior folder where you saved the License from the PC/PG to the main directory on the CompactFlash card.
8.If you have aproject is now the time to copy to CF Card but if you have not go to the next step
9. Extras the CF Card from Laptop Eriter/Reader and insert the CompactFlash card into the CU320-2 Control Unit
10. Reconnect the power supply to the Control Unit (including the 24 V DC supply)
11. With firmware version V4.3.x and later, the firmware of the integrated components is updated automatically.
During this process, the RDY (READY) LED on the Control Unit flashes orange at a frequency of 0.5 Hz.
When the firmware update process is complete, the LED flashes faster at 2 Hz.
12. When the update process is complete, restart the Control Unit by switching the power supply off and then on again.
Then tell me what happened... |

Thanks for the help! Only it's all been tried with different firmware (4.4 -4.7). LEDs as a blinking red light 2 Hz, and blink.
Communication between the PC and SU 320-2vz possible only after avtozagruzkiPO with cards, I think so. |

Download and install S7 technology.
Try to connect from Simatic Manager.
http://plc.myforum.ro/viewtopic.php?p=21232#21232
However for knowing exactly the compatibility please send the Siemens' codes for CF Card and CU230-2DP
Good luck. |

How can you replace the SINAMICS CU320 with the CU320-2 in a Technology CPU project with S7 Technology?
As from version V4.2 SP1 of S7 Technology you have the option of automatically replacing the SINAMICS device version and characteristic in an existing S7 Technology project.
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/58805543/how-can-you-replace-the-sinamics-cu320-with-the-cu320-2-in-a-technology-cpu-project-with-s7-technology
Mark the required SINAMICS drive in the tree view and select the pop-up menu "Target device > Upgrade device version/characteristic". \
Then select the required characteristic from the list of available SINAMICS characteristics.
Then select the required firmware version from the list of available device versions.
Finally, click the "Upgrade" button to replace the SINAMICS control unit in the S7 Technology project with the version selected.
For being successful with the following hardware:
6SL3054-0TA01-1BA0
SINAMICS S120 CF card V4.3 SP2 perform.
SINAMICS S120 COMPACTFLASH CARD WITH FIRMWARE OPTION PERFORMANCE-EXTENSION 1 INCLUDING CERTIFICATE OF LICENCE V4.3 SP2
6SL3040-1MA00-0AA0
SINAMICS S120 CONTROL UNIT CU320-2 PB
SINAMICS CONTROL UNIT CU320-2 DP WITH PROFIBUS INTERFACE WITHOUT COMPACT FLASH CARD.
The SINAMICS Control Unit CU320-2 DP (6SL3040-1MA00-0AA0) is not supported by S7-Technology up to and including version V4.1 SP1. It is only possible to configure this SINAMICS Control Unit as from version V4.2.
proceed:
Download S7 Technology V4.2.

You can work also with STARTER 4.3.1 you probably working.
If you do not have please let me know.
PS:
I've read your posting on PM.
Try however to install Technology 4.2 because from Simatic Manager you can test more options for connecting using this environment.
It could be another problem....
What version of Simatic NET do you use because the latest versions exclude some CPs like CP5611 and older from support on communications.
Normally you have to use Step7 any version, Simatic NET until V8.0 with upgrades.
What CP do you use on your PG?
try to load v4.3.2 firmware and if do not work you have a big problem with CU230. |

Thanks a lot for so substantial answer. I use a STARTER version 4.4.1.
I tried to connect through LAN, PROFIBUS and RS232. No effect.
I will report about results on your recommendations. |

Hi! I think:
1. initially the control unit is delivered from plant without insertion;
2. communication(LAN-cross cabel, PROFIBUS- adapter MPI/,RS232) in online between the notebook r and the control unit is possible only after loading of an insertion RDY=ON RED, COM and OPT=OFF. |

Connect with an Ethernet crossover cable CU with your PG
Assign to PG/PC IP address 169.254.11.1 /255.255.0.0
Set PG Interface to TCPIP...and eventually restart PC
The factory setting of the internal Ethernet interface X127 of the Control Unit is 192.254.11.22 for this type of CU.
Apply +24VDC to CU click online interface in STARTER.
Run Command Prompt Start->Programs->Accessories and and command >/...../..>ping tell me what you see?
If you need to put another address you can use PST (Primary Setup Tool)
Assigning the IP address and the name via STARTER or PST (node initialization).
The Ethernet interface must be initialized so that the STARTER can establish communication. Selecting online mode in STARTER
You can use the PST initialization tool (Primary Setup Tool) to assign an IP address and a name to the Ethernet interface.
œ Connect the PG/PC and CU 320-2 using an Ethernet cable.
œ Switch on the Control Unit.
œ Start the Primary Setup Tool (on the STARTER CD).
œ Settings -> Network card -> Select the network card
œ Network -> Search (or F5)
œ Select the Ethernet device -> Module -> Assign name -> Enter the station name -> OK
œ Module -> Load
œ Network -> Search (or F5)
œ Select "Int. Ethernet interface" under the Ethernet device -> Assign IP address -> Enter
the IP address (factory setting 169.254.11.22) -> Enter the subnet mask (255.255.0.0).
The subnet masks must match before STARTER can be run.
œ Module -> Load
Note
The IP address and device name for the Control Unit are stored on the memory card (nonvolatile).
Tell me what you see after ping....
By the way..what adapter do you use for PROFIBUS between PG and CU? |

Now I'm in a different location.
If you can wait few days I'll upload an image of CF for Sinamics S120. |

Be careful on handling licenses and firmware version on CF card.
You can use the Prameter 990x of the Control Unit to acknowledge the topology differences (that is, take serial number as a new target) and then save it back to the card.
