Site / Commissioning Managers (Installation, Electrical & Automation) needed for China, India, Romania and Dubai (steel plants)...

GER Consultancy are currently looking for experienced Site / Commissioning Managers with a background in Installation, Electrical and Automation and experience with this on steel plants.

Overview:
The specialist site manager is responsible for the proper technical and on-schedule handling of the erection work in the sections assigned to him.

He is authorised to issue directives towards the contacts of the erection companies.

He has the duty of informing and reporting towards the general site manager/site manager and acts as stand-in during their absence.

Among his main responsibilities are:

1. During site erection
Personnel management/personnel organisation
• Instructing of supervisory personnel and familiarising them with their fields of activity.
• Explanation of the technical documentation
• Drawing up of personnel requirement lists and work schedules
• Coordination of personnel deployment calls
• Signing/approving of time sheets
• Handing in of erection reports, with photographs if required

Erection
• Determination of longitudinal and transversal axes and of level monuments or demanding their determination from the orderer.
• Foundation control with determination of additional axis points and level monuments.
• Drawing up of a foundation acceptance report
• Determination of storage areas
• Determination of in-plant transport routes
• Inspection of incoming deliveries for completeness and damage
• Tracking of the delivery status (dispatch management)
• Processing of damage from transport and cases of missing parts
• Drawing up of flow charts for the installation of machines, media stations and interconnecting pipelines with regard to crane capacities and other resources.
• Updating and completion of erection/installation and time schedules
• Professional supervision of aligning, levelling, erection/installation and welding work
• Drawing up of measuring and grouting reports
• Drawing up of the welding documentation with inspection documents and inspection results
• Drawing up of pickling and flushing schedules, coordination of the work
• Documentation of the cleanliness levels achieved after flushing of the pipe systems
• Drawing up and keeping of the list of remaining items
• Drawing up and keeping of the lists for electric release of movements (uncoupled, coupled)
• Processing of FEBA (fault detection, processing and evaluation)
• Supporting work for claim building/claim defence
• Processing of additional expenditure incurred by our erection contractors (hampering of progress, additional work, modifications)

Functional tests
• Drawing up of schedules for functional testing of equipment sections in interlocked mode without material
• Drawing up of time schedules for the no-load tests, i.e. functional tests of the mechanical movements of the equipment sections
• Documentation of test results and of specifications
• Instructing of user/customer personnel

2. During the commissioning period:
• Carrying on of the jobs of the erection period as far as reasonably applicable.
• Coordination and determination of the necessary activities for servicing and maintenance of our equipment.
• Practical training of customer/user personnel
• Planning and specifying of work to be done during maintenance stoppages
• Drawing up and keeping of documentations on guarantees, warranties
• Assistance in the drawing up of as-built documentations
• Keeping of statistical records on lubricant consumptions
