A) Description of the Toolbox CD content
----------------------------------------
The CD root directory contains a file setup.exe.
After starting this file the program guides you through the installation
of the software components.
1. Config data
config_data\

Config_data contains the configuration data setup.
The setup will install the configuration data for SINUMERIK 828D to your PC.
The configuration data consist of the Siemens examples and the recovery
system for usage with the RCS Commander. For more please refer to the
included siemense_828D.txt, which is installed with the configuration data.
2. Programming Tool PLC

Tool for programming and debugging the PLC inside SINUMERIK 828D.
The directory contains a setup which installs the PLC programming tool
to your PC.
3. SINUMERIK Commissioning

This Tool is provided for software version SINUMERIK 828D V4.7 and newer.
4. SINUMERIK IB-Tool

Startup tool for SINUMERIK is specifically engineered for the
installation and configuration of drives and axis and is provided
for software versions prior to SINUMERIK 828D V4.7.
Before installing the Startup utility it is required to read the
information provided in siemensd.rtf or siemense.rtf. These
documents contain important instructions on how to install and use
the Startup tool.
5. Access MyMachine /P2P for SINUMERIK solution line

The "Access MyMachine /P2P" is a Remote Control System Software tool
that supports you in your day-to-day work with SINUMERIK solution line
control systems.
The "Access MyMachine /P2P" tool makes it easy to manage files on your PC
and on SINUMERIK solution line control systems.
6. CNC-Lock Tool

The "SINUMERIK CNC-Lock Tool" provides the functions of Access MyMachine 4.7
(future version) to activate, reactivate and disable the CNC-Lock of a
SINUMERIK control.
The functions pending of the CNC-Lock are explained in SINUMERIK Function
manual, basic functions (FB1), chapter "CNC-Lock function (option)"
7. Examples

Contains examples for Easy Extend scripts, PLC application and tool
management startup. This directory will not be installed on the PC by the

Each example comes with its own readme.txt.
8. SINUCOM-Protector -- Lock MyCycles
protector\
The SINUCOM-Protector is a command-line based tool that encrypts cycle files.
For help and further information regarding this tool call "protector.exe -help" using the Windows
command line prompt.
9. Software License Terms
licenses\
Software License Terms from SIEMENS and Open Source components.
The licenses will not be installed to your PC. |
