I can purchase a Sinumerik 808D PPU 6FC5370-2AT03-0AA0 , this is the turning variiant, i would like to use this for a milling machine. Is it possible to use this PPU also for milling (as there is a PPU 6FC5370-2AM03-0AA0).

I don't think you can...the software is the same..the hardware is as in..

As far as i can see there is just one nr different in the siemens part number:
6FC5370-2AT03-0AA0
6FC5370-2AM03-0AA0
It's also the same manual, so maybe there is just a difference in the licenses that are provided which each version. |

Take a look at hardware..it's vertical and horizontal..
It could works however...you are right...
There is however some problems with the other components... |

| I’m also thinking its the same hardware but like in the catalog it says that the system is pre-configurated. So maybe there is another software version or licenses in it... does anyone know ? |
