Code:

Operates with STEP 7 V17 and WinCC V17 in a single framework
Can be installed on a computer in parallel to another version of Startdrive V12 to V16
Can be installed on the same computer as SINAMICS MICROMASTER STARTER

As from TIA Portal project version V13 SP1, projects can be directly upgraded to V17. Updating of previous project versions (V11 ... V13) is on the basis of the TIA Portal products used in the project (e.g. STEP 7, Startdrive) in version V13 SP1 or V13 SP2 (latest update recommended).

Important note

TIA Portal project versions V13 SP1 ... V16 are upgraded to project version V17 using TIA Portal V17. If you wish to work with or edit a TIA Portal project version V13 SP1 ... V16, then we recommend an additional installation of the corresponding software for TIA Portal V17.

Cannot start TIA 17 Project
I tried to open a project on TIA17 and I cannot.

After that the project is closed automatically.
What can I do? What's wrong?

TIA Portal V16/17 facilitates the commissioning of similar drives by copying an existing configuration from one drive object to other drive objects. Parameter values can be written offline or online.
In applications such as logistics systems or in the automobile industry, oftentimes more than 100 drives are controlled by one PLC. In materials handling applications, for instance, drive settings are often standardized for various conveyor elements. In such cases, the configurations are the same, or they differ only with respect to parameters that are not performance-related.
When commissioning such a system it is repeatedly the case that settings parameters have to be adjusted in order to achieve the desired drive characteristics. These changes then have to be carried out for a great number of drives (10 to 50). Although these are simple changes, they take considerable time.
