SINAMICS Startdrive V16
SINAMICS Startdrive provides a TIA Portal integrated tool for configuration, commissioning and diagnostics of the SINAMICS converter family. The SINAMICS Startdrive commissioning tool has been optimized for ease of use and the consistent use of the TIA Portal advantages of a common working environment for PLC, HMI and drives.

Startdrive V16
works together with STEP 7 V16 and WinCC V16 in a framework
can be installed on a computer parallel to another version of Startdrive V12 to V15.1
can be installed on a computer parallel to SINAMICS MICROMASTER STARTER
Projects can be upgraded directly to V16 from the TIA Portal project version V13 SP1. Upgrading from earlier project versions (V11 ... V13) is based on the TIA Portal products used in the project (eg STEP 7, Startdrive) in version V13 SP1 or V13 SP2 (last update recommended).
TIA Portal project versions V13 SP1 ... V15.1 are upgraded to project version V15.1 with TIA Portal V16. If you need to edit a TIA Portal project version V13 SP1 ... V15, we recommend an additional installation of the corresponding software for TIA Portal V15.1.
