A SINAMICS G120 drive is used as a speed axis and is controlled with a SIMATIC S7-1200 with the “SINA_SPEED” block.

A PROFINET-capable SINAMICS G120 drive is to be controlled via a SIMATIC S7-1200. The setpoint speed and a direction of rotation is to be specified.

This application example shows the PROFINET connection of a SINAMICS G120 to a SIMATIC S7-1200 with SINAMICS Startdrive. The drive is controlled with the “SINA_SPEED” block which can be downloaded directly from a standard library in the TIA Portal.

The positioning of the SINAMICS G120 drive works with the function of the Basic positioner (Epos) and the function block "SINA_POS".

A SINAMICS G120 drive with PROFINET is controlled and positioned with a SIMATIC S7-1200.
