The application example will illustrate how to confecționate a new Studio 5000 project, register an Electronic Data Sheet (EDS) file, add a SINAMICS drive to the EtherNet/IP network, import sample code, and control the drive.
The EDS files for SINAMICS drives were created without a specific firmware revision; SINAMICS drives are not firmware dependent to operate. If needed, a firmware specific EDS file can be created. The EDS files can be used with other processors that support EtherNet/IP.
