The SinaDCP application example provides function blocks for communication with a SINAMICS DCP, as this does not have any standard telegrams. Two function blocks are provided: - Control Unit Communication via DCP_IO (for digital and analog I/O integration) - DC Control Communication via SinaDCP (for DCP control)
Solution
SinaDCP is a function block for controlling and monitoring the SINAMICS DCP. If several DCP devices are configured as master/slave, only one SinaDCP block is used to control the master DCP.
The block can be edited for additional communication words, both for sending and receiving.

Functions
The basic control modes include:
Voltage control for side 2 with current flow from a DC link side 1 to a secondary system side 2
Voltage control for side 1 with current flow from a DC link side 2, into a secondary system side 1
Current control with regulated, polarity-dependent current flow, changeover on the fly is possible
Voltage control as in the first two modes, changeover on the fly and voltage control with droop are possible

The monitoring features include
Status word
Fault and alarm status with diagnostic words, including thermal alarm.
Current voltage and current actual values of both sides P1 & P2.
Actual current derating
Limitation status word
Reactor current total actual value smoothed (master DCP only)
Dynamic overload load cycle monitoring
Contactor status (master DCP only)
In addition, this function block is not protected and can be freely modified to add additional BICO connections and functions. User data types are supplied to support the standardization of the PLC code.

Two HMI faceplates are supplied. They can be used on master and slave configured DCPs and provide data from slave devices that do not normally communicate with the PLC. They provide the monitoring and operating status.
