|

There are problems if you try to connect to a SIMODRIVE611U for commissioning via a RS232 connection from SimoComU.
If the firmware on SIMODRIVE611U is different from the SimoComU software then the connection via RS232C is rejected.
Remedy:
Go to folder where SimoComU is installed:
C:\Program Files\Siemens\Step7\DriveES\SimoComU\Siemens\Acc
if installed within SPEP7 or try to find the folder C:\.........\Acc in folder you installed SimoComU and Delete all the files V_611U<....>.acc;
Remember:
Do not Delete V000000.acc ; V000000.sdc;
Try connection to SIMODRIVE 611U...
Use Cable diagram for RS232C connection as in file:

I have a problem connecting by RS232C to a Simodrive 611U.
The components are:

The serial Cable is RS232C as in SIEMENS documentation.
When I try to connect from SimoCom parameterzing software it appears the following errors:
1.First tell me there is an error ..
2. ...in the Domain Services...
3..Then I am connecting.....with error..
4... ...It os going online...
5. ..and in 10 seconds throw me out...
6. ..if I try a new connection it is aborted also...
7. ...and appears the same error....
Can anyone tell me what am I doing wrong??????
I've done the modifications on files as you said rott but the error remains.... |

Hello rumsfeld,
Communication on RS232C level can only be a problem with drivers from your computer...
I advice you to try with another computer to see what's happens because as I said before the problem is with your computer or with drivers installed...
I did not encounter such a problem till now..!!! |
