SIMIT components for the simulation of fail-safe modules of the S7-1500 / ET 200MP / ET 200SP

SIMIT components for the fail-safe modules are provided for an easy integration of safety signals in the simulation. The components for example FDI, FDQ, and FAI simulates the behavior of fail-safe F-DI, F-DQ and F-AI modules. The component FPME simulates the behavior of the F-PM-E module for the ET 200SP.
In order to realize a virtual commissioning, the user program in the S7 controller as well as the kinematic tip (CAD model) must be simulated. One hurdle here is that the CAD model and the user program require different data formats. In order to provide a suitable interface that prepares this data for the respective system, Siemens offers the simulation software SIMIT SP. In this simulation software, the systems used can be connected via suitable couplings.
