This application enables Rockwell PLCs to be integrated in SIMIT simulations.
SIMIT - EtherNet/IP Coupling SIMIT - EtherNet/IP Coupling
The Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) simulation is based on an external coupling, which can be added to the SIMIT installation. A graphical user interface is provided to import tags from an as L5X-File exported Rockwell Logix Designer project. During simulation, SIMIT reads and writes the imported tags periodically.

The communication used by the coupler is class 3, also known as explicit messaging. This means, that it’s a message/response communication between the coupler and the PLC.
