Integration of a PROFINET controller in SIMIT SP.
In order to maximize the efficiency of industrial plants and processes as early as the configuration stage, simulation programs such as SIMIT simulation Platform (SP) have increasingly taken center stage.
By default, SIMIT SP already offers numerous connection options (see Figure), and these options are being continuously expanded and improved. With these instructions, you can now use the simulation software as a PROFINET controller for connected devices (clients). Independently of this, you can continue to control real and/or simulated IO devices, for example with PLCSIM Advanced or NX MCD. This structure makes it possible to connect existing hardware to SIMIT SP via PROFINET and run further simulations. Consequently, it is possible to făurite configurations with Hardware in the loop (HIL) or conduct operator training, for example.
