SIMATIC: Standard Application - Line Motion Control LLnCtrl

The SIMATIC application "Line Motion Control" is designed for controlling the machining of products while moving in a linear or feedthrough machine, e.g. edge banding machines. The application main functions include product position tracking and switching on/off tools based on the position of the conveyor and user’ machining programs.
The main functions performed by the application "Line Motion Control" are listed below:
Readout of positions of front/rear edges or other prominent points on the workpiece/part, initiated by a sensor signal
Assignment of machining program to workpiece
Tracking of workpieces/parts as they move through the machining area
Calculation of switching positions for switching outputs with static and dynamic components
Switching On/Off digital outputs based on conveyor position
Note: To ensure successful and reliable "continuous machining", the workpieces must be transported along the entire machining line without slip.
The SIMATIC library Line Motion Control has two different variants according to the CPUs supported.
