I have a CPU 1510SP-1 PN (6ES7 510-1DJ00-0AB0) (v.1.6) And I can't seem to download it to PLCSIM V13 ? I a document somewhere I read that SP processors are possible to download to PLCSIM V13 SP1 (until firmware version 1.5) ? It's rare SP1 is mentioned in PDF docs on siemens site from month ago and SP1 isn't available at siemens support download site. This week I also started a simulation of a TP1200 project which uses Profinet/Ethernet as communication. When I run project in simulator : no online connection When I run project on real TP1200 : it's working fine Looks like TIA portal is a real mess and full of bugs. Don't tell me about Schneider which projects Unity Pro 5.0 and V6.0 had been full incompatibility until after a year they released UnityDiff which solve the problems between two consecutive versions...and so on... Schneider bought 2-3 years ago Citect because they did not have anative HMI products... Now they bought Invensys for entering on the DCS Systems... So regarding Schneider you absolutely have not wright..Schneider is far behind Siemens.... Regarding Rockwell you have partially right...Indeed they ocuppied a niche on the market with small and medium PLCs but you have to remember some things about SIEMENS... It's the only company which few years ago started an unified PLCs and HMIs architecture Totally Integrated Automation TIA (ABB has some similar but not on SIEMENS level) and taking into account that SIEMENS is an almost universal manufacturer (from simple PLCs to CNCs, from most advances DCS to robotics, from small energy plants to Atomic Energy Plants and so on...it's not just a simple job in few years to develop a completely new environment...) Such small problems are unavoidable taking into account the scale SIEMENS works for... It's true that Schneider have an excellence on electromechanical components, contactors, motor starters..and other. (they are cheaper) and Rockwell on an aggressive market on last three years on small PLCs market...but ... .....my humble opinion is that SIEMENS is the best on all and will remain so for long time since now .... because they have a unparalleled products portfolio ...and a strategic development vision... So SIEMENS is not at the same level ....is by far beyond ...
