The SIMATIC IDENT CB Gate is a multi-component system which was designed specifically for the detection, identification and tracking of objects tagged with transponders in conveyor systems. It is available in three versions: "SIMATIC IDENT CB 2H Gate", "SIMATIC IDENT CB 4H Gate" and "SIMATIC IDENT CB 4H Gate for Tire".

Product description
The SIMATIC IDENT CB Gate is based on components of the SIMATIC RF600 product family. It is an identification system in the UHF range which enables identification of passive transponders over large distances.
The CB Gate is available in three versions:
SIMATIC IDENT CB 2H Gate (6GT2881-1AB02-0AA0) - with one read point and two antennas (top) for simple coverage
SIMATIC IDENT CB 4H Gate (6GT2881-1AB04-0AA0) - with one read point and four antennas (top and bottom) for two-sided coverage
SIMATIC IDENT CB 4H Gate for Tire (6GT2881-1AB02-0AB0) - with two read points and four antennas (top and bottom) for two-sided coverage optimized for distinguishing the tag position (top or bottom) in a tire.
The Gate allows detection of all objects equipped with a UHF transponder which supports the communication protocols ISO 18000-62 and ISO 18000-63.
The CB Gate is built around a conveyor system (e.g. conveyor belt). As soon as an object passes the light barrier, the read operation starts. Read operations continue to be performed for as long as the light barrier is interrupted. The read result is output via the connected panel and if necessary to a higher-level system, depending on the settings.
