In order to be able to operate Field PG M4 with Windows 10 you have to install the hardware below:
PCCard Controller (Personal ComputerCard)
Chipset
AHCI (Advanced Host Controller Interface)
Touchpad
Network
Audio
Graphics driver (from the Intel® Driver Update Utility)
Note
The SIMATIC software (TIA Portal < V14, WinCC flexible 2008 and STEP 7 Professional 2010) supplied with the Field PG M4 is not released for Windows 10.
Installation of the hardware driver for the Field PG M4
Use the "Manuals and Drives V13.0.1.0" DVD supplied with the Field PG M4. The DVD includes the hardware drivers listed above.

Notes
With Multilanguage User Interface (MUI) versions you have to set the default language to English (US) before installing new drivers.
For this you select "Start > Control Panel > Clock, Language, and Region > Region" and in the "Formats" tab you can set the default language.
If you are reinstalling Windows, you have to install the chipset driver before all the other drivers. More information about this you will find in TIA Portal information system, by Installing the drivers.
Secure Boot for Field PG M4 is not possible.
Procedure
You proceed as below to install the hardware drivers (except for the graphics driver) from the DVD supplied:
Insert the "Manuals and Drivers for SIMATIC" DVD into the CD/DVD drive.
If the suite does not start automatically, execute the "START.CMD" file
from the DVD.
In the index you open the "Drivers" folder.
Select the required driver.
In the folder you start the Setup program.
Repeat the steps as of Step 4 until you have installed all the hardware drivers.
Proceed as follows to install the graphics drivers:

Click "win64_153343.4425.exe".
Click "I accept the terms in the license agreement".

Notes
If you have connected an SD card before powering down the PG, then after reactivating the PG from the power-down mode you have to remove the card and then reconnect it.
In order for the hot plugging of the USB 3.0 connections (at the back of the device) to function you have to change the settings in the Device Manager.
Select "Start > Control Panel > Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus controllers > USB Root Hub (xHCI) > Properties". In the "Power Management" tab you make the changes marked in the figure below.
