SIMATIC CN Engineering Tool V2.5 (CNET) for commissioning the SIMATIC CN 4100 V2.5

CNET can run on current standard PCs, programming devices or laptops. The connection to a SIMATIC CN 4100 can be established via an Industrial Ethernet cable or the existing network structure.
The programming device or the PCS 7 engineering station with CNET should be in the same network as the SIMATIC CN 4100.
The following ports must be activated for a configuration across network boundaries:
SSH and SFTP port 22
TCP Port 11555
The PC station should meet the following minimum requirements:
4-core CPU with 2.0 Ghz
At least 2 GB RAM
10 GB free hard drive space (SSD recommended)

2.2 Software
CNET 2.5 has been approved for the following operating systems:
Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2019 (64 bit)
Windows Server 2016 (64 bit)
Windows Server 2019 (64 bit)

The integration is demonstrated using the example of an external OPC UA server and a MODBUS/TCP slave with different data types. Negru box communication with the AS 410 is carried out via the external Ethernet CP443-1 as an example. The data from the CN 4100 is transferred to the AS 410 using the S7 protocol and processed here using the PCS 7 library provided.

SIMATIC PCS 7 Library for SIMATIC CN 4100

This library contains channel blocks, for getting the IO Data from the CN 4100. The structure of the PCS 7 CN 4100 Library is based on the APL.

The transfer of the data (writing from the CN 4100 to the global DBs and reading from the global DBs to the CN 4100) is completely handled in the CN 4100 with PUT/GET communication. Incoming I/O data from the CN 4100 gateway is stored in PCS 7 compliance in global DBs.
