|
|
Hello everyone,
I need technical support to found a solution to replace a Simantic S7-300 CPU315-2DP module used in my equipment.
For a long time we worked with SIMANTIC S7-300 mod (315-2AG10-0AB0) and for failure we acquired a new module S7 300 (315-2AH14-0AB0) -NEW recently and we had not tested.
We take advantage of the same SD memory card from the first one.
day we realize that it does not start the system like the previous one.
It only lights the front LEDs SF(red), dc5v (green) and stop (yell).
How I can communicate and change this configuration without ADATER Siemens, only remote access in IHM simantic .
Best regards,
Nildo

As you can see the firmware for the two CPU are different and this is a problem.
Also, for 315-2AH14-0AB0 there are two firmware versions and you have to check on your papers which came with the new CPU what firmware version is installed as long as you have not access to the site.
Case1: What you have to do if you do not have access to the site:
1. What MMC Card do you use..to see if it is compatible with both CPUs?
2. I supposed you have the original program on your PC..is that true?
If you have the autentic program then recreate the program in Step7 with exactly the same CPU 315-2AH14-0AB0 firmware you bought and follow the steps just in
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/37334767/operating-system-updates-for-cpu-315-2dp- (6es7315-2ah14-0ab0)?dti=0&lc=en-WW
3. Create a MMC card with the same firmware:
Creating an operating system update MMC Card with STEP7:
Download the desired CPU file.
Unpack the file by double-clicking the file name
Delete the Micro Memory Card by executing: "File/S7 Memory Card/Delete" in Simatic Manager.
Program the operating system by selecting "Update target system/operating system" in SIMATIC Manager, then select the target directory and "Open" the CPU_HD.UPD file to start the programming process.
Programming of the operating system update card is completed when the message "The firmware update for the module with the order number 6ES7 315-2AG10-0AB0 was transferred successfully to the S7 memory card" appears on the screen.
Requirements for creating an operating system update card:
Micro Memory Card with at least 4 MB storage capacity
Order no. 6ES7 953-8LM20-0AA0
STEP 7 V5.1 SP2 or higher
PC with external PROM programmer (6ES7 792-0AA00-0XA0) or
PG720 / 740 with adapter (6ES7 798-0BA00-0XA0) or
FieldPG / PowerPG for programming the Memory Card
or have a similar CPU at your site for using on creating MMC Card.
4. Check if the program is compatible with the new CPU with S7-300 Upgrade Check Tool you can find on this link
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/13337010/s7-300-upgrade-check-tool
links
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/13337010/13337010_S7-300_Upgrade_Check_DOKU_V11_en.pdf
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/attachments/13337010/13337010_S7-300_Upgrade_Check_Code_V11.zip
5. If the program verified is OK then write the new MMC Order no. 6ES7 953-8LM20-0AA0 with the two methods from above and send
to the site.
6. Instruct the engineer from the site to make a Memory Reset (Keep CPU swith down for 2 minutes until the LED will not flashing) on CPU without MMC Card and then introduce in slot the MMC card on the CPU and should work.
Case2: If you have access to the site
then just with the program cheched with the upgrade tool and recreated program in Step7 with the new firmware execute a download on the CPU with MMC inserted
Case3: If you go to the site
and eventually want to upgrade the OS and firmware of the CPU 315-2AH14-0AB0 you can proceed as follows: (the example on Siemens Site is for AG10
To update the operating system:
Switch OFF the power supply (PS) of the rack in which the CPU is located
Isolate the PLC from the communication network
Insert the prepared operating system update card in the CPU
Switch ON the power supply (PS) for the rack in which the CPU is located
The operating system is transferred from the Micro Memory Card to the internal CPU flash EPROM. During this time all the CPU's LEDs will be on (FRCE, RUN, STOP, SF, BF).
The operating system update is completed after about 2 minutes and is indicated by slow flashing of the STOP LED on the CPU => prompt for overall reset by the system
Switch the power OFF at the power supply and insert the Micro Memory Card required for operation.
Switch ON the power supply. The CPU automatically does an overall reset and is then immediately ready for operation.
Before connecting the PLC to the communication network again the clock must be synchronized.
2. Online:
Requirements:
Online updating of the firmware is possible with STEP 7 V5.3 and higher.
The module in the station whose firmware is to be updated must have firmware version V2.6.1 or higher and be accessible online.
The module status of the CPU can be checked with STEP7 in the online mode. Version A0.21.0 or higher must be displayed to be able to perform the firmware update.
Select: SIMATIC Manager -> <Name> -> Strg+D
The module must be listed with firmware version V2.6 in the Hardware Configuration in SIMATIC-Manager.
IA MMC (Micro Memory Card) must be inserted in the module as buffer memory.
The unpacked files with the latest firmware version must be available in the file system of your PG or PC:
BG_ABL.UPD
CPU_HD.UPD
KOMP_1.UPD
Any one folder may only contain the files for one firmware version.
To update the firmware:
Start STEP 7 and switch to HW-Config.
Open the station with the CPU to be updated.
Earmark the CPU.
Select the command "Target system > Update firmware". The command can only be activated, if the marked CPU supports the function "Firmware update".
In the opened dialog "Update firmware" now use the "Search" button to find the path to the firmware update files (*.UPD).
When you have selected a file, information will come up in the lower part of the "Firmware update" dialog, for which module and as from which firmware version the file is valid.
Click the "Execute" button. STEP 7 will check whether the selected file can be interpreted by the module and then load the file to the CPU if the answer is positive. If the operating mode of the CPU must be changed for this purpose, you will be prompted via dialogs. The CPU will then execute the firmware update by itself.
Check with STEP 7 (read diagnostic buffer of the CPU), whether the CPU successfully starts up with the new firmware.
Overview of order no.s and latest versions of the CPU 315-2DP:
Operating System Updates for CPU 315-2DP (6ES7315-2AH14-0AB0)

It's not clear what connections do you use on the remote site.
If you have installed Teamviewer on the PC from site and on your PC,
just ask someone to connect with an Adapter to the PLC and make the same as you are there. |

"as you have not access to the site." sorry , whats is the site?
how to identify firmware?
1. What MMC Card do you use..
I believe that this Card is okay. This is old card.
I didnīt buy module 315-2AH14-0AB0 with card..hummm

2. "I supposed you have the original program on your PC..is that true?"
Maybe yes, but I donīt know how to identify file in PC simantic(IHM).
I have access remote with Remote Adminsitrator View and Team View.
If you have the autentic program then recreate the program in Step7
hummmm...step-by-step..

Site means if you have or not access to the location of the PLC.
After your description being Sunday I put on the project your description.
Project on Step7
Hardware CPU315
Network view
My advice is to buy a 4MB MMC Card and recreate project.
You only need to recreate Hardware configuration with all addresses as in actual project you have and on CPU315-2DP copy all the Blocks and DB to the new processor.
If you bought CPU recently you have the latest software as in
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/37334767/operating-system-updates-for-cpu-315-2dp- (6es7315-2ah14-0ab0)?dti=0&lc=en-WW
You have to connect the remote PC to the new PLC via MPI or PROFIBUS Adapter.
This actual MMC Card cannot be used..in actual conditions... eventually if you repair the defective module. |

Updating the Firmware (of the Operating System) in Modules and Submodules Offline
The following section describes how to transfer a new firmware version (new operating system version) to a module or a CPU by means of a memory card.
The update requires the following two steps:
| Code: | Create an "update memory card" (transfer the update files to a memory card) with the programming device (PG) or PC with an external prommer.
Using the "update memory card", update the operating system on the CPU.
Requirements
Memory card with sufficient storage capacity. For information on this, refer to the download pages at customer support. This is where you will also find the update files.
Programming device (PG) or PC set up to program memory cards.
To transfer the update files to a memory card, proceed as follows:
Create a new directory with the Windows Explorer.
Transfer the desired update file to this directory and unzip it there. This directory will then contain the UPD file.
Insert the S7 memory card into the programming device (PG) or the prommer.
Delete the memory card (menu command: File > S7 Memory Card > Delete in the SIMATIC Manager).
Select the PLC > Update Operating System menu command in the SIMATIC Manager.
In the dialog box that is displayed, select the directory with the UPD files.
Double-click the UPD file.
This action starts the programming process. When this process is ended, the message "The firmware update for the module was successfully transferred to the S7 memory card" is displayed.
Updating the Operating System:
Switch off the power supply (PS) unit for the CPU.
Insert the prepared memory card with the update into the CPU.
Switch the power for the CPU back on.
The operating system is transferred from the S7 memory card to the internal FLASH EPROM.
During this time, all LEDs on the CPU are lit up.
After about two minutes, the update is finished. To indicate that the update is finished, the STOP LED on the CPU flashes slowly (system request for memory reset)
Switch the power off at the power supply unit and, where appropriate, insert the S7 memory card that is intended for the operation.
Switch the power back on. The CPU executes an automatic memory reset. After that, the CPU is ready for operation.

Recreating the program means only Hardware Configuration with the new CPU and then Copy all OB, FB, FC, DB in new CPU, recompile and you can download on new CPU with a new MMC or the old MMC after making a Backup on your computer and Reset MMC and upload new program you just compiled.
You need on Remote Computer to have S7 installed and a MPI Adapter for downloading.
You can do all via Teamviewer or Remote Desktop.
better with teamviewer. |
