This library allows to communicate via a standard protocol (TCP/IP) between SIMATIC S7-1200/S7-1500 and Rockwell ControlLogix/GuardLogix without using a Gateway.
To communicate between different controllers of different manufacturers, several options are available. One is the possibility of using a gateway. Another one is the use of own communication blocks for the controllers.
The libraries in this article provide communication blocks for the communication between S7-1500/S7-1200 controllers and ControlLogix/GuardLogix controllers. They provide a function block for the S7-1500/S7-1200 and an AOI for the ControlLogix/GuardLogix.
