Release / download of the MSC300_Library block library for operation of a SIMATIC S7-300 with an MD 720 MODEM on the Telecontrol Server Basic

This is the release of the MSC300_Library V3.0 block library for operation of a SIMATIC S7-300 with an MD720 MODEM on the Telecontrol Server Basic (TCSB) version V3.0 and higher.
The program blocks of the "MSC300_Library" for communication via GPRS are called in the S7-300 CPU to which the MD720 MODEM is connected.
Interfaces of the CPU:
One of the following CPs with serial interface is used for data transmission between CPU and MD720 MODEM:
CP 340 RS232C - S7-300 / ET 200M
CP 341 RS232C - S7-300 / ET 200M
CP 1 SI ASCII - ET 200S

Please keep in mind that the respective CP must support the ASCII protocol.

1. Product description
The firmware V2.8 includes the following new functions and product improvements:
Support of S7-Routing via TIM 3V-IE Advanced when configuring in the TIA Portal.
2. Firmware update
Save the file in a temporary folder. The installation is started automatically when the .exe file is unzipped.
The firmware, consisting of
the basic package TIM3VIES_V2.8.FWL for the TIM 3V-IE,
the basic package TIM3VIEA_V2.8.FWL for the TIM 3V-IE Advanced and
the driver package, which must be loaded on both TIM 3V-IE versions,
is then stored automatically in the folder ...\P7ST\TIMFW_VXW below the STEP7 installation environment.
The basic package and the driver package of the TIM 3V-IE and TIM 3V-IE Advanced firmware must be loaded on the TIM module with two different programs in the order described here:
1. Driver package
To load the driver package, the SINAUT Diagnostics and Service tool must be used.
No file or path information is necessary to load the driver package. The driver package is found automatically.
2. Basic package
To load the basic package, use the NCM Firmware Loader.
(Component of STEP 7: SIMATIC => STEP 7 => NCM S7 => Firmware Loader).
To load the basic package with the NCM Firmware Loader, you need to know the correct file name and file path (e.g. ...\P7ST\TIMFW_VXW/TIM3VIES_V2.8.FWL) because this must be specified explicitly in the NCM Firmware Loader.
Please note that the basic package may only loaded over the Ethernet interface of the TIM and the MAC address must be known (see sticker behind the front flap of the TIM module). The S7 online interface of your programming device/PC must be set to "ISO Ind. Ethernet" in the "Set PG/PC interface" dialog.
To load the basic package, the TIM module must be put in download mode. For this you need to briefly press the Reset button of the TIM. The TIM will then begin to restart, which you can tell by the fact that the TIM switches on all LEDs for about 5 seconds. You must press the Reset button of the TIM again within this time and hold it until the RUN LED of the TIM starts to flash. The TIM is then in download mode. The download can now be started via the NCM Firmware Loader. As soon as the download is activated by the Firmware Loader the STOP LED of the TIM starts to flash and flashes until the download procedure is complete. A voltage reset must be carried out after this.

Monitoring of measuring points at remote locations via RTU3041C and TeleControl Server Basic V3.1

The battery-powered SIMATIC RTU30X1C is used to monitor and control remote stations that are geographically distributed and not connected to a power supply network. The RTU30X1C can store process data and transmit it to a central station via mobile wireless or via the LAN interface and an external router.
The RTU3041C monitors the fill level of a rain overflow basin. To conserve power, the RTU3041C is in sleep mode much of the time, switching to an update or communication mode in predetermined cycles.

If the level exceeds a critical value, the RTU3041C informs the operator by email and SMS, even outside scheduled communication cycles. In addition, the RTU3041C informs the operator via SMS when its predefined target position is reached. The actual position should be within a parameterized radius.
To read out the data of the TCSB, UaExpert is used as OPC UA Client.

Securely Connecting and monitoring RTU3041C to TeleControl Server Basic
