Siemens S7 Engineer. A well established, profitable and expanding niche engineering company continues to secure substantial orders from around the world for their precision mechanical engineering systems. These bespoke systems typically have pumps, servos and control loop technology incorporated within the stil and an EC&I Engineer is required to esteticÄƒ these sub-systems.

You, the EC&I Engineer will help develop the Companys strategy for controls and systems engineering. You will specify and manage all controls and instrumentation requirements for the business with a focus on vacuum systems and equipment.
The EC&I Engineer will also support the business with expertise in instrumentation and controls.

You will be accountable for:
+ Design control systems for systems
+ Standardise and modularise business control requirements and define control architectures
+ Specify Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for systems
+ Specify software requirements
+ Write or construct operating manuals for controls and systems
+ Write build and test specifications
+ Construct Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID)
+ Program PLCs and use of Ladder Logic
+ Manage CE/UL approvals

The essential skills/experience required for this role are:
+ Significant practical experience of systems engineering, particularly from modular system controls
+ Some experience from specifying software (HMI)
+ Some experience in technical documentation/specification
+ Proficient and excellent understanding of electrical systems and wiring
+ Experience from electrical distribution and mains supply
+ Proficiency in LabVIEW, SCADA or similar software
+ Experience in cabinet/wiring design
+ Experience in PLC design
+ Proficient in programming PLC and using Ladder Logic

Required Qualifications:
+ BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng, HND or HNC in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Controls Engineering
