Drive ES Basic is a software to start-up, parameterize, optimize and diagnose Siemens drives (DriveMonitor / SIMOCOM U). The Drive startup tools (DriveMonitor; SIMOCOM U/A, Starter) are integral components of Drive ES Basic, thus enabling the user to deal with the drives in the same way as with the Siemens automation technology. Data management of both automation and drive technology is consistent. It guarantees common data archiving. By means of Drive ES, Siemens drives are fully integrated in Totally Integrated Automation

Program library DRVDPS7 contains function blocks which enable you to link drives into the user program of a SIMATIC S7-300 with CP342-5 when you are using a PROFIBUS-DP communications bus.
DRVUSSS7
Programming environments: STL, LAD, CSF.
Program library DRVUSSS7 contains function which enable you to link drives into the user program of a SIMATIC S7 when you are using the USS protocol.
POSMO_A
Programming environments: STL, LAD, CSF, CFC.
The POSMO contains function blocks for linking the SIMODRIVE positioning motor POSMO A in the user program of a SIMATIC S7 via PROFIBUS-DP.
DPS7, DPV1 (directory "Unsupported_Lib")
Programming environments: STL, LAD, CSF.
These block libraries contain the STEP7 functions of the predecessor product of Drive ES SIMATIC, DVA_S7 V2.0 for linking drives into the user program of a SIMATIC S7 via PROFIBUS-DP. This software is no longer maintained and further developed and should therefore only be implemented by users who already have these blocks in use and wish to continue to use them. It is recommended that all other users use the blocks of the DRVDPS7 library.
ADAPT_DVA
The ADAPT_DVA library contains a block for processing PKW requests, passed to the service data DB of a DVA_S7 configuration, with the cyclical block PDAT_CY of the ES SIMATIC software drive. Users are therefore able to retain an interface defined under DVA_S7 in a Drive ES SIMATIC environment.
2 Object managers (OM)
Object managers are drive-specific add-ons to STEP 7. With the exception of DVA_S7 OM, they are always installed by the Setup routine. To install DVA_S7 OM, you must select it explicitly in the component selection dialog in Setup. DVA_S7 OM will be required only in cases where DVA_S7 objects from "older" STEP 7 configurations need to be displayed or converted in configurations created in STEP 7 > V5.0.
3 DVA_S7 converter
Tool for converting DVA_S7 objects of a STEP 7 project into Drive ES objects. After conversion, "older" STEP 7 configurations with DVA_S7 objects can be processed without restrictions under STEP 7 from Version 5.0 onwards. |
