Hi,
I am going to set up a small automation lab using Sicam SCC v8 and 3 siemens siprotec 4 protection relays with IEC61850.
I only have 1 PC and I want to use it as HMI and server. Is it required for me to get sicam pas and toolbox II as well? During Sicam pas installation I should select "Server" or "DIP"?

Look what you have to do:
SICAM SCC (SICAM Substation Control Center) SICAM SCC can be used with both the power automation system
SICAM PAS and also with the products of the SICAM RTU family.
SICAM SCC can communicate directly with bay and protection devices that support the communications standard IEC 61850,
and can be used for this as a cross-device HMI system.
These are some configuration Options
• SICAM PAS
• SICAM A8000, TM, AK 3
• Devices with communications standard IEC 61850
• Scalable functionality from stand-alone system up to redundant
client/server systems, Internet access via Web Navigator
For configuring your protection relays you have to use SIPROTEC
The IEC 61850 system configurator is the manufacturer-neutral solution for the interoperable engineering of IEC 61850 products and systems and supports all devices with IEC 61850, not just Siemens products - like SIPROTEC 5, SIPROTEC 4, SIPROTEC Compact, Reyrolle, SICAM RTUs, SICAM IO/AI/P85x/ Q100 - but also devices from other areas (such as SITRAS PRO) or from third parties.

After configure communication you can develop on WinCC all values you need.
You do not need SICAM PAS on this stage only SICAM SCC
