I am developing a basic program for M221 PLC that gets a value from another PC software using RS232C connector and modbus RTU. I have setup Modbus protocol inside Somachine Basic software trought SL1 line but I am not able to see or config READ_VAR, WRITE_VAR... communication objects.
May I connect the cable between PC and PLC before developing anything? I have attached two captures of my program.
I would be very grateful if anyone can help/support me. Thanks in advance.

Thanks zarzuela.
I found out a solution for solving the problem I have (communication objects do not show at SoMachine Basic software).
I was developing using a lower level that I actually needed for using communications library. So, I moved up this level to 4.0 at SoMachine Basic tasks and updated M221 controller. Then this problem was solved and I could use READ_VAR, WRITE_VAR, etc. |
