SENTRON Power Device Engineer is a comfortable and easy-to-use software to define power monitoring as well as switching and protection devices of 3rd party companies to be integrated in SENTRON powermanager und 7KN Powercenter 3000. With the help of a wizard-based user interface the 1st step describe the device’s general features like communication using Modbus TCP or RTU. Within the following step data points in certain categories e.g. current, power, energy etc. are defined and the Modbus addresses assigned.

3rd party device definitions can be used in SENTRON powermanager as well as in 7KN Powercenter 3000 applications.
The use of SENTRON Power Device Engineer as well as the integration of those devices is described in the manual of 7KN Powercenter 3000 starting with ab V1.6.
