SUMMARY OF ROLE
The Senior MES Engineer is responsible for the design and engineering of project specific
Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and system integration solutions like LIMS or ERP to
clients, primarily in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, to enhance cutting edge process
automation solutions meeting customer requirements
PRINCIPLE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work effectively at different levels with clients and sales teams to define business needs and demonstrate our product and services capabilities
Be responsible and work in a team for selected areas of the overall solution architect to define scope, sizing, system / operational requirements, integration requirements, support project estimations and ensure execution methodology (e.g. client interviews; documentation analysis)
Develop detailed designs, implement and test complex MES solutions using both custom developed software applications and configured products that meet client requirement and create technical documentation also required for validated facilities
Assist clients with resolving application problems and installing software upgrades as well as patches for MES systems
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Degree in Computer Science or Process Automation Engineering MA preferred
Minimum of 4 yrs relevant experience in the control engineering project industry such as Biotech/Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Oil & Gas or Refinery with at least 2 yrs in MES project execution (requirements analysis, design definition, SW development & solutions implementation)
Good knowledge and solid experience with MES systems using and maintaining RDBMS (SQL, backups, triggers, stored procedures), server hardware and networks, creating and managing VMware virtual machines, administering Windows Systems, scripting technologies and developing software tools to automate routine tasks ERP experience (e.g. SAP) a plus
Proficient in English with a second European language preferred (written and spoken)
Willingness to travel in Europe is mandatory, travels can be for a short period
