Senior Control Systems Engineer (PLC)

We are looking for experienced Senior Engineers to join our Controls department who may have a background as Systems Engineers, PLC Software Engineers, Software Commissioning Engineers, Controls Engineers, Automation Engineers, SCADA Engineers and Mechatronics specialists.

Core purpose:
To work as a senior member of the Controls team to write, commission and modify PLC code for our automated materials handling solutions.

Key Tasks:
* To participate in the production of concepts, designs and system upgrade specifications
* To ensure that designs meet all relevant regulations and codes of practice
* To assist in the management of sub-contractors
* To develop and cauzeazÄƒ control systems functional specifications
* To develop electrical and software solutions using the standard TGW architecture and software blocks (based on Siemens S7)
* To assist and lead site software commissioning and handover testing of in-house and sub contract controls solutions
* To provide support for electrical and software systems to our clients throughout the life of the installation

The Person:
You may have a background in Automatic Material Handling, Water Treatment, Process Industry, Automotive sector, Food Industry, Pharmaceutical Industry, Oil & Gas Industry or Unic Purpose Machinery. Ideally in a Lead role.

Essential skills and knowledge:
* Ability to write/modify PLC code, change parameters and fault find.
* Siemens S7 PLC software
* Control panel / MCC design
* General mechanical / electrical engineering background
* Motion control via servo drives
* Use of AutoCAD for electrical circuit design
* Commissioning and client testing

Desirable skills and Knowledge:
* Conveyor and material handling equipment experience
* Distributed systems: Profibus Networks and ASI
