As the connection between the HMI or webserver and the F-CPU is considered to be non-safe, data corruption could result in an unwanted value being transferred to the F-CPU , which can cause dangerous situations in the machine. Additional measures are necessary for the convenient operation of processes and systems in safety-related applications. This application example shows you how safety-related values (of type Bool, Integer, Doubleinteger, Time) can be transferred from a non-safe source (HMI/web page) to the failsafe program of an F-CPU. Since the connection between the non-safe source and the F-CPU is not failsafe, an undesired characteristic value could enter the F-CPU and thus the F program by data corruption, which could lead to dangerous situations.
