The software can be used as a Service Pack.
The download version can also be used as a trial version.
SP5 can be directly installed on an existing version of S7 Technology V4.2. The S7 Technology V4.2 license retains its validity with SP5.
For the first time, S7 Technology can be installed on PCs with the Windows 10 operating system.
SP5 for S7 Technology V4.2 supports the new STARTER version V4.5 SP1 drives:

Simultaneous operation of the S7-Technology, SCOUT and STARTER
variants on one and the same computer is not envisaged and therefore not possible.
Compatibility with other software products
SIMOTION SCOUT
You cannot install S7-Technology on a PG/PC on which you already installed SIMOTION SCOUT. Any attempt to install the
software is rejected by the setup program.
Uninstall SIMOTION SCOUT if you want to install S7-Technology.
Drive ES Basic
You cannot install S7-Technology if you already installed Drive ES Basic with the STARTER component. Any attempt to
install the software is rejected by the setup program.
Uninstall Drive ES Basic if you want to install S7-Technology.
You can then install Drive ES Basic without the STARTER component.
STARTER
You cannot install S7-Technology on a PG/PC on which you already installed the STARTER. Any attempt to install the
software is rejected by the setup program.
Uninstall the STARTER if you want to install S7-Technology.
Use the STARTER functionality that is integrated in S7-Technology to assign parameters to drives which are not connected
to DP(DRIVE). Double-click the "Insert single drive device" entry in the Navigator of S7T Config.
